The Former President's Regime of Consequences and Incentives

Donald Trump's voracious appetite for revenge has swiftly transformed into a methodical apparatus. Over the year since his election, the chief executive's rage and caprices have adopted the form of government actions similar to analogous to historical authoritarian regimes. Government personnel who do not cooperate are summarily fired and replaced by devotees. Critical officials who challenge him risk legal action, court proceedings and sanctions. Opponents have been designated under executive memoranda as “unpatriotic”, “opposed to religious values” and “opposing economic freedom”, and menaced with legal action as “extremists”.

Government Institutions Transformed

Each instance involving targeting of Trump's enemies and leniency for his allies demonstrates its own particular features. Yet, notwithstanding their particular form, they embody manifestations of what has emerged as a systematic approach. Such incidents are far from coincidental. His purge of federal prosecutors and FBI agents, alongside his placement of supporters in senior posts, commenced rapidly, quickly took on a pattern, and has now been shaped into a structure. DoJ and the Federal Bureau have been remade into political organizations under Trump's direct orders to implement his demands. Unfairness has been turned into normal. It constitutes the retribution system.

Management is focused with penalizing the leader's perceived enemies than they are with safeguarding our country's safety.

Internal the Apparatus

The beginnings of this system has been revealed in the lawsuit of several previous top FBI officials submitted in late summer in the judicial system in the capital against agency head an administration figure and justice department head another official for wrongful dismissal in “a campaign of revenge against the officials for what Defendants judged to be a refusal to demonstrate proper allegiance”. In the complaint that a former acting director, the previous interim leader, describes a discussion in which he “openly admitted the impropriety of his actions”.

He had sought to defend FBI agents from being dismissed, the complaint claims. Patel advised him that “administration officials” – perceived by the official to be the executive branch and justice department – had directed him to remove all those who they identified as having been involved in a legal probe against the president. The filing adds: “The director explained that he had to dismiss the personnel his bosses told him to fire, because his ability to keep his own job relied on the dismissal of the agents who worked on investigations involving the chief executive. He explained that there was no way he or him could do to halt these or any other dismissals, because ‘the bureau attempted to put the leader in prison and he hasn't forgotten it.’” After the official advised Patel he was breaking the FBI's own policies, Patel allegedly said “he recognized that and he knew the character of the summary firings were probably unlawful”.

Extensive Consequences

After Patel's alleged confession to him, the Department of Justice and the law enforcement agency have been dismantled and redirected for Trump's revenge apparatus. Multiple of the FBI's high-ranking agents were fired or compelled to leave in the first days of the administration. About thousands of legal professionals at the justice department have accepted a “early exit scheme”. No fewer than seven DoJ lawyers, including those in the Manhattan division, quit in dissent over what they viewed as political interference in abandoning the legal action against the local official, the mayor, in return for his cooperation with Trump's federal agency detentions of foreign nationals. The ethics division of DoJ, which oversees corruption cases, has been cut down to a handful of lawyers. The equality section has been severely reduced: 70% of its staff has left. 33% of top officials at DoJ have quit. The division enforcing environmental law has experienced the exit of half its supervisors.

Favors and Penalties

Regarding the legal matter, the temporary lawyer for the southern district of New York, the official, resigned in objection against what she described as the “trade-off”. The border official, the president's “immigration leader,” appeared as the implementer with the mayor on television to declare: “If he doesn't come through, I'll reappear in New York City.”. And, a former official, formerly the acting deputy attorney general and a former Trump attorney, who negotiated the arrangement, was given an appellate federal judgeship, a possible pathway to the judicial branch.

His protection for wrongdoings carried out while in government, awarded by the extraordinary judgment of the conservative on the judicial body, thus thwarting his legal action over the Capitol riot and preserving his electoral prospects for the 2024 election, is the cornerstone on which he stands to shield his stalwarts. Given this protection, he has been liberated to permit misconduct. The consequence of the judicial ruling permeates his presidency and the GOP completely. Trump v United States has escalated. In the words of the former president's administration lawyer the figure said about the Watergate
